Join Our Team as a 1 : 1 Tutor – Make a Meaningful Impact on a Child’s Education
Teaching Personnel is committed to delivering high-quality, tailored 1 : 1 tuition to young people currently outside of formal education. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate tutors who are passionate about supporting learners with diverse and often complex needs.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference—providing personalised support to pupils who face significant barriers to education.
About the Role
As a 1 : 1 tutor, you will work with students in their homes or local community settings. These learners are not currently in school and require bespoke educational support to help them re-engage with learning and reach their full potential.
Our pupils present with a range of needs, including :
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and general learning difficulties
Children in Care requiring catch-up support due to disrupted education
School-refusing pupils or those experiencing significant mental health challenges
Young people excluded from mainstream school settings
Requirements
QTS, QTLS, is preferred but not a must
Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
Ability to plan and deliver engaging, individualised lessons
Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a supportive approach
Understanding of and respect for the varied backgrounds of the students and families we support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
