The Role

As an Electrical Calibration Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Your responsibilities will include the calibration, diagnosis, and repair of Safety and Test and Measuring Equipment (T&ME) and Nucleonic Radiation Detection & Monitoring Equipment (RDME).

Day-to-day, you'll use approved quality systems to ensure the requirements of the Trident Strategic Weapon System (SWS), nuclear operations, and other non-strategic customers are met.

• Comply with health and safety legislation, policies, and standards.
• Validate procedures and analyze the effects of new and amended procedures.
• Write paper document and software calibration procedures for new equipment and generate calibration checklists for new / different models to meet SWPT and departmental requirements.
• Take a lead role in a team of calibration officers and participate in measurement audits as part of the US / UK Inter Laboratory Comparison Programme (ILCP) to ensure the facility's future parameter re-certification.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week Monday - Friday with a half day on Friday and is based on-site at Faslane.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
