I am working with a lovely SEN school in Portsmouth, who are dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, from moderate to complex learning and physical needs. The school fosters an ethos of care, respect, and positive reinforcement, empowering each child to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Role :
As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will :
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of children with SEN, including those with autism, learning disabilities, and other complex needs.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to support children’s learning, communication, and social development.
- Work closely with a team of dedicated Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals to create an individualized learning journey for each child.
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes independence and builds self-esteem.
- Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure consistent support both in and out of school.
