An excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a well-established company.
Job Type : Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary : Competitive Salary, Depending on Experience.
Location : Harwich CO12.
Working Hours : Monday – Thursday 8.00 AM - 5.00 PM.
This includes 2 x 15 minutes rest breaks at 10.00 AM and 3.00 PM paid, 30 minutes lunch break unpaid)
About The Role :
The role of Electrical Engineer requires the individual to apply the principles of electrical / electronics to develop electrical products and systems. The postholder will require skills, knowledge and qualifications to fulfil electrical installation and panel wiring. The postholder will be aware of their responsibilities to support the Company’s mission statement to ensure that quality, effectiveness and success is embedded in our policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities :
- Interpreting detailed diagrams and resolving any faults / modifying / making adjustments that may arise during assembly to ensure that all machines are free of fault at dispatch
- Using a range of machines / tools in line with risk assessments; maintenance of the same
- Working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues to ensure production requirements and deadlines are met
- Understanding an engineering or electrical idea or requirement and turning this into reality
- Supporting new opportunities and expansion with existing customers
- Maintain accurate records in relation to the Stores stock levels
- Adhering to The Health and Safety at Work Act within the workshop, working within set policies / procedures to meet safety standards and quality
- Ensuring the workshop environment is maintained in a clean and safe manner; undertake visual / recorded checks on equipment / tools used to perform the role
- Undertake any continuous professional development that may be relevant to the role
- Undertake additional procedures as specified by the Company Directors and Workshop Supervisor
Experience / Qualifications needed :
Requisites of the role include :
The post-holder will be required to hold a full driving licence; as occasional UK / international travel and overnight accommodation will be required from time to time. A current passport will be required for occasional international travel.
