Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and reliable Warehouse Workers to join a busy team based in Harlow. The ideal candidates will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Duties

• Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
• Accurately pick and pack items for orders, ensuring quality control throughout the process.
• Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injury.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, if certified, to move stock within the warehouse.
• Maintain an organised warehouse environment by keeping stock in designated areas and ensuring cleanliness.
• Utilise mechanical knowledge to assist with basic maintenance of warehouse equipment.
• Familiarise yourself with AS400 systems for inventory management and tracking purposes.
• Build pallets or displays as needed for shipping or storage.

Skills

• Proficiency in materials handling techniques and safe lifting practices.
• Experience in picking and packing processes within a warehouse setting.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout shifts.
• Forklift certification is preferred but not essential; training may be provided.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Familiarity with stock management systems, particularly AS400 or similar software.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
