Based near the borders of Essex and Hertfordshire, within easy reach of London, they currently have a vacancy to work within their production team. As Assistant Workshop Manager your main responsibility will be to support in all aspects of the production build. This is a hands-on role with tasks which could include : prop making, CAD drawing, carpentry, metalworking, head rigger, spray painting, scenic finishes, paint management, general production build, CAD interpretation, CNC & Laser cutter operation, vinyling, installation crewing, lead carpenter, sanding, filling & finishing.
Skills and Experience needed from the Assistant Workshop Manager :
- Carpentry & construction to include set build and props, scenic and spray painting and sewing
- Good time keeping and communication skills
- Proactive with an enthusiastic, self-motivated and positive disposition
- Strong organisational skills along with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Driving licence
In return they are offering a salary of between £28k and £35k, plus BUPA and pension and lots of training and career progression opportunities.
