elmont Recruitment are currently in search of a Hospital Housing Specialist Support Worker / Assistant Band 4 to join the Acute Mental Health Service (AMHS) based out of Hammersmith & Fulham in Greater London. The role is Monday – Friday 9 : 00am – 5 : 00pm, however there is scope for flexibility so applicants who cannot work full time are still encouraged to apply, this is initially on an ongoing locum however this will most likely be made permanent.
We are looking for a housing specialist with excellent people skills to assess candidates for housing and assist clients with securing affordable, permanent housing in both private and social Housing. The housing specialist's responsibilities include liaising with community organisations, government agencies, and property owners to source the means and negotiate terms that enable clients to rent sustain suitable housing. To be successful as a housing specialist you should have good listening skills and a great deal of patience. An outstanding housing specialist should be an excellent mediator and highly knowledgeable about the property market, social services, and legal restrictions to support individual with possible eviction notice, poor housing condition and foresight to assess and understand the socioeconomic boundaries associated with appropriate housing.
The pay rate for this locum role is between £11.91 - £15.91 per hour dependant on experience, however this is open for negotiation for someone with years of experience.
