This role will focus on ensuring that highways projects comply with regulatory standards, meet safety requirements, and deliver high-quality outcomes for Surrey residents.Key Responsibilities : Conduct routine and reactive inspections of highways, footways, and other assets.Investigate and respond to customer enquiries related to highway issues.Ensure that all works comply with NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) or LANTRA certification standards.Monitor contractor performance and adherence to permit conditions.Identify and report defects, hazards, and non-compliance issues.Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.Maintain accurate records of inspections and ensure timely reporting.Essential Requirements : Valid NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) Supervisor Certificate or LANTRA qualification.Experience in highways inspection, maintenance, or compliance.Strong knowledge of highways legislation and safety requirements.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently across multiple sites.Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Surrey.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced highways professional to contribute to maintaining and improving Surrey's roads.
