Housing Support Worker (Female)
Surrey (Guildford, Woking & Waverley)
Supported Housing Scheme
12 Month Contract
35 Hours per week
16.50 to £19.97 LTD / £14.07 to £17.02 PAYE (inc hol)
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in people's lives? Join a dynamic Housing Association supporting unaccompanied asylum seekers aged 18+ with no recourse to public funds, helping them live safely, happily, and independently.
THE ROLE
You will play a key role in providing flexible housing-related support to enable service users to develop essential life skills and transition into independent accommodation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess and allocate housing for new tenants following procedures.
- Provide tenants with advice and information to help them maintain their tenancy.
- Conduct room checks and follow housekeeping procedures to minimize vacancies.
- Ensure tenancies are upheld and support residents in meeting their obligations.
- Conduct risk assessments and coordinate with external agencies when needed.
- Encourage resident participation and provide advice on decision-making.
- Perform health and safety checks and manage building facilities.
