Are you passionate and committed to preserving Scotland's historic sites? Join us at Historic Environment Scotland as an Electrical Works Manager at Stirling Castle. This is a unique opportunity to manage a small, dedicated team of electricians, ensuring the maintenance and conservation of one of the country's most iconic monuments. You'll work alongside experts in various disciplines, contributing to projects that protect and enhance our heritage for future generations. With a focus on quality, teamwork, and professional development, we offer a fulfilling career in a supportive environment. If you have experience or are familiar with large building maintenance, a commitment to excellence, and a desire to make a real impact, we encourage you to apply and be part of our mission to cherish and share Scotland's historic environment.

You will work closely with a diverse team of professionals, including the M&EE Estate lead, District Architect, Structural engineers, Quantity surveyors, and the Health and Safety team along with the site-based trades consisting of Stonemasons, Joiners and painters.

Your key objectives will include overseeing the daily deployment of our 2 dedicated Monument Electricians along with the supervision of any external Electrical contractors when they are required and on site, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and conservation at Stirling Castle and surrounding sites. You'll be responsible for planning works, ordering materials, ensuring relevant Electrical documents are attained and implementing health and safety policies, ensuring our historic sites are preserved for future generations.

The successful candidate will need to be quick-thinking, adaptable, and an excellent problem solver. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where innovative ideas are encouraged, and trust and teamwork are paramount. If you're passionate about heritage and ready to make a real impact, we encourage you to apply and join our dedicated team.
