We're looking for a Temporary Customer Service Advisor to join the team at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) in Newcastle.This is a customer service-heavy role, involving a high volume of telephone calls and interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. You'll need to be someone who enjoys helping others, can stay calm under pressure, and is comfortable following procedures while using your initiative.Key Responsibilities : Answering a high volume of customer service calls - this is a call-centre-style environmentProviding accurate advice and support to customers and stakeholdersAnalysing reports and monitoring compliance with agreementsProcessing test results and updates to support driver examiner servicesManaging mail distribution, printing, and office suppliesConducting licence entitlement checks and reviewing dataPreparing standard correspondence and overseeing routine admin tasksWhat We're Looking For : Strong written and verbal communication skillsConfident handling high volumes of customer contactOrganised and able to manage workloads to meet tight deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with data entry and systemsThis temporary role runs from ASAP until 31st July 2025, with potential for extension.
