Are you an experienced Import Operator with a strong background in ocean freight ? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset? If so, we want to hear from you.
The Role :
This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in import freight forwarding , particularly in deep-sea shipments . You’ll be responsible for managing the entire import process, ensuring shipments move efficiently from origin to destination while keeping customers informed every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities :
- Managing FCL / LCL import shipments from start to finish
- Handling customs clearances via CDS, ensuring compliance with UK regulations
- Liaising with shipping lines, hauliers, and overseas agents to coordinate deliveries
- Managing invoices, costings, and profit margins
- Resolving any issues or delays proactively to maintain service levels
