Maintenance Technician – X2 Positions. TXM Recruit are looking for x2 Maintenance Technicians working for one of our rail clients based in Oxley, Wolverhampton on a contract basis. Job Function :  To service, fault find and repair rolling stock assets Main Responsibilities : Overhaul Programme : Prepare for and undertake the removal and replacement of traction and rolling stock componentsAssemble and install traction and rolling stock components using engineering processes and techniquesCarry out planned modification tasks on rolling stock assetConfirm that traction and rolling stock assets comply with operational specifications by the use of engineering processes and techniquesKeep Equinox and Wraps up to date with clear and concise information of work carried outCarry out post overhaul inspectionsCorrective Maintenance : Assess and undertake any defect rectification on rolling stock assetsCarry out repairs to traction and rolling stock following technical scopes of workRead and extract information from traction and rolling stock drawings and specificationsModify traction and rolling stock components by material removal using hand toolsSafety / Security / Health / Environment / Quality : Ensure compliance of health, safety, environmental & quality practices in the workplaceIdentify and deal with hazards in the railway environmentMaintain the condition of the work site, materials and equipmentSupport good housekeeping and waste management initiativeIdentify and provide continuous improvement suggestionsAdditional Tasks : Develop professionally and support good working relationshipLearn new skills in accordance with business demands as requiredAssist in the development of maintenance & continuous improvement processesLiaise with co workers and external personnel as required to complete the duties of the postAssist as requiredJob Skills, Experience and Qualifications : Licences / Competences : Maintenance and fault findingProven ability to solve technical problems using fault finding techniquesManual HandlingWorking at HeightIntermediate IT skillsTrain Balancing / WeighingBogie DropTrain Lift JacksQualifications : M & E HNC or served apprenticeship with mechanical / electrical disciplinesEngineering based NVQ level 3Behavioural : Sound knowledge of, and compliance to, rules and regulationsGood written and verbal communication skillsAble to represent company in a professional manner at all timesGood team workerProactiveOrganisedSupport company values
