If you are interested in Engineering and automation, this may be the role to help start your career with a global player in supply chain.So, what's the role about?You will be trained within a multi-disciplined maintenance team within your four-year apprenticeship. During your training, you will experience all aspects of electrical and mechanical maintenance, including automation. You will also get to move across other service centres in the UK during the programme to ensure a well-balanced training experience.Your development will be supported with a mentor and manager and will include :

• Completing a full apprenticeship programme.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain electrical, mechanical and automation equipment.
• Seek ways to improve all processes and procedures relating to maintenance.
• Develop excellent technical communication skills.
• Conversant in engineering maintenance theories and principles.
• Perform first-line routine mechanical and electrical maintenance, including removing and replacing components, cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and fault finding.What are the key skills / attributes for this role?
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• The entry requirements for the apprenticeship course are a minimum of 5 GCSEs at 9 – 4 / A
• C (5 or above preferred), which must include Maths, English language, and ideally Science, or equivalent related qualification.
• You'll need a strong work ethic and a keen interest in the world of engineering
• Self-motivated & the drive to learn
• Be comfortable living away for the first year of your apprenticeshipWhat’s in it for me?

• Following the successful completion of your apprenticeship, subject to role availability, you can apply for a permanent shift technician role.
