Senior accountant role within a forward-thinking accountancy practice, who are expanding and growing. They are on the hunt for an ambitious accountant to join their ever-growing team, and to make a real impact.

They specialise in a variety of services including audit, bookkeeping, business start-up, company secretarial, corporate finance, corporate tax & planning, VAT, payroll, and more.

They are a medium sized firm with 4 directors and 28 members of staff, and have strong ambitions to grow further beyond this.

Senior Accountant Position Overview

Statutory Accounts Preparation :

Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements for a variety of clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Review financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to relevant reporting frameworks.

Personal Tax Returns :

Prepare and review personal tax returns for individuals, ensuring timely submission and compliance with tax laws.

Provide tax planning advice and strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize clients' financial positions.

Partnership Accounts :

Manage the preparation and review of partnership accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Assist clients in understanding their partnership structures and financial performance.

Client Portfolio Management :

Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and providing proactive financial advice and support.

Manage client engagements from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and delivery of services.

Financial Analysis and Reporting :

Perform financial analysis and review to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

Present financial reports and analysis to clients, explaining key findings and recommendations.

Senior Accountant Position Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or part qualified, or qualified by experience
• At least 4 years accountancy practice experience
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
