Are you a qualified Microbiologist looking for an opportunity to elevate your career? Randstad are currently looking for an experienced Microbiologist to start as soon as possible for an ongoing position based at Coca Cola Edmonton.Pay per annum : 30kTwo Week Shift Pattern; Monday - Thursday 8 hours, with 8 hours on the Sunday, then 8 hours Monday- Friday.You will be working in a fast, agile and ambitious environment, with talented people who really care about what they do. Your responsibilities will include : Becoming a key member of the site food safety teamPerforming and monitoring food safety related microbiological testsIdentifying trends and opportunities for improvementWork consistently with operational teams to continually develop quality performance and compliance Review Food Safety performance and compliance against existing plansSupport the launch of new sensitive products by execution and coordination of microbiology checksComplete microbiological analysis as part of the investigation into complaints to identify the (potential) source / root cause to enable resolutionCo-ordinate and support site validation activities relating to facility, equipment, hygiene and CIP (Clean in Place) systemsProvide routine and ad-hoc microbiological reports, monitor performance and initiate relevant actions Routinely review microbiology testing data to identify adverse trends Manage and maintain condition and supply of microbiology testing equipment, consumables and laboratory facilitiesEnsure efficiency of laboratory operations by identifying and exploiting new technologiesProvide basic microbiological training to other roles to expand site capabilities and flexibilityPerform internal audits, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) audits and compliance checksSupport other departments as necessarySkills & Essentials : Bachelor degree or equivalent in MicrobiologyPrevious work experience of practical microbiological testing on food productsGood communication skills are essentialMethodical and organisedGood understanding of statistical process control and problem solvingBenefits : Ongoing contract with a possibility of temp to permPaid accrued holidaysWeekly PayAccess to staff shop & CanteenAccess to benefits scheme which includes 100's of high street discounts and much moreFantastic career opportunitiesPlease note this is an agency role working with Randstad based on site at Cola Cola Edmonton but the job role does have the potential to becoming permanent.
