Overview : We’re currently recruiting for an established, forward-thinking accountancy firm based in Eastleigh Hampshire, looking to appoint an experienced Audit Senior to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking a client-facing role with a good balance of audit and accounts responsibilities, career development, and a supportive working environment.
The Role : As Audit Senior, you’ll play a key role in leading statutory audits from planning to completion, working closely with clients and reporting directly to managers and partners. This role is ideal for someone seeking variety and the chance to build strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities : Lead on-site audits for a range of clients across various sectors
Plan, execute and complete audits in accordance with UK GAAP and ISA standards
Prepare and review statutory accounts and financial statements
Identify and resolve technical and accounting issues
Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing feedback and support
Liaise with clients throughout the audit process and build lasting relationships
Ensure deadlines and budgets are met
Assist managers and partners with ad hoc advisory work
Requirements : ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist)
3+ years' experience in audit within UK practice
Confident leading audits from planning to completion
Strong working knowledge of FRS 102 and UK GAAP
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well both independently and within a team
