Atrium Healthcare is seeking a cook with previous experience within a care home setting to support our client based in Driffield. The ideal candidate will have a drive and passion for cooking nutritious and delicious meals for our clients' residents as well as leading a small kitchen team. We believe that great food is an essential part of residents' well-being, and as a cook you will play a vital role in ensuring they receive nutritious, appetising meals whilst meeting varying dietary requirements of residents.
The job role will entail the following tasks :
- Complete a food shop. (Site will confirm if needed)
- Planning a weekly hot food menu, to include a vegetarian / vegan option (must ask service users for opinions on meals they enjoy)
- Preparing delicious, high-quality food
- Listening and acting on feedback
- Kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
- Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations
