Job description
We are seeking compassionate and motivated Children's Home Workers to join a dedicated team in Derby. The successful candidates will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people, promoting their welfare and development in a safe and homely environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Providing day-to-day care, guidance, and support to children and young people in the home.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with residents, encouraging their social and emotional development.
- Supporting children in their daily routines, including attending school, appointments, and extracurricular activities.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of individualised care plans, ensuring that the needs and preferences of each child are met.
- Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.
- Promoting positive behaviour and managing challenging behaviour effectively and empathetically.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation, including daily logs and incident reports.
- Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and supervision to enhance skills and knowledge.
