Are you a patient, caring, and enthusiastic individual who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? This school is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive team. You will be assisting children with high needs, beginning as soon as possible.
Duties as SEN Teaching Assistant :
Work closely with classroom teachers and SENCO to support pupils with a range of needs, including.
Provide 1 : 1 or small group support, helping pupils access learning and achieve their potential.
Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
Promote independence, confidence, and social development in a safe and supportive environment.
Help with classroom organisation and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant :
Has experience working with children with SEN (in a school, care, or similar setting).
Is calm, adaptable, and resilient under pressure.
Demonstrates empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
Communicates effectively with pupils, staff, and parents / carers as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2 / 3, or willingness to train is a plus).
