The Senior Expeditor will manage the expediting and / or procurement of Equipment on a key BakerHicks project, which involves supply chain development, procurement strategy, tendering and evaluation, negotiation, contract management and expediting.
The ideal candidate will have had previous experience in the expediting and / or procurement of plant and equipment within the and EPCM or EPC environment and will be a key member of the project delivery team.
This fixed term contract role can be based in our Motherwell or Manchester office, and will require travel to site in Dalry Scotland (travel costs will be covered).
Key Objectives
- To administer the expediting of equipment
- To work closely with project teams and customers delivering a service to fully meet their requirements.
- To lead the assessment of all quotes / commercial terms as well as leading all technical and commercial analysis
- To present and gain approval of the Tender Recommendations from the Customers in accordance with the Procurement Strategy and Schedule
- To Expedite and support with engineering and construction teams to deliver procured items in accordance with the Project Schedule
About You
With extensive experience as a procurement manager in construction or engineering, you will have experience dealing with Customs for the delivery of major equipment into the UK market.
You will have experience in delivering complex procurement packages in an EPCM environment, with experience in EU and UK supply chain.
