About the Role :
We are currently seeking an experienced Resource / Project Planner to join a reputable, multi-trade main contractor based in Glasgow. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for effectively scheduling internal trades teams, subcontractors, and coordinating site visits for managers and health and safety representatives.
You will play a key part in ensuring projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget, working closely with project managers, site teams, and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities :
Schedule internal trade operatives and subcontractors across multiple projects
Coordinate site access and visits for managers, health & safety inspections, and external consultants
Maintain accurate planning and resource documentation
Work with project managers to forecast resource requirements and address any shortages or conflicts
Monitor project schedules and support teams to ensure deadlines are met
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure labour and material resources when needed
Continually improve planning processes and resource allocation methods
What We’re Looking For :
- Previous experience in a Resource Planner or Project Planner role within construction or a related sector
- Strong organisational and scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience coordinating tradespeople, subcontractors, and health & safety inspections
- Proficiency in planning software and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
