Be the key to the Civil Nuclear Constabulary’s ongoing improvement. The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. As a Body Worn Video (BWV) Service Technician, you can play an integral role in our development.
Body Worn Video is an important piece of equipment for Police Officers, which are used to record incidents, allowing the camera to act like an independent witness whilst viewing from the Officers perspective. We’re looking for a Support Officer to join our BWV team to support the department in continuing to deliver a high level of customer service and maintain a Digital Evidence Management Solution (DEMS). You’ll provide administration and technical support to the BWV Force Lead to help manage to overall solution and ensure that our camera fleet is available and fit for purpose – you’ll do this by responding to fault requests and ensuring devices are swapped out for repairs and maintenance.
You’ll become and expert in the BWV devices, providing operational and technical advice to our Officers, as well as assisting with preparing materials for the deliver of BWV training across the organisation. You’ll be a great communicator, comfortable with collaborating with departments from across the CNC and working together to produce or adapt working practice and policy documents. You’ll have a keen eye for detail as you’ll review, update, and maintain both the internal and public-facing web pages to accurately reflect the CNC’s position on BWV.
To be successful in the role you’ll have a good understanding of Body Worn Video and its capabilities, with the ability to establish and improve Service Management processes and procedures. You’ll be self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively, through prioritisation and time management. You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills, and able to work with discretion, confidentiality and personal integrity.
