Commissioning Manager (Transformers) – Exciting Opportunity in Scotland!
TGRC is delighted to offer a compelling career opportunity for a Commissioning Manager specializing in transformers. This 12-month contract, based in the dynamic setting of Scotland, boasts a day rate of £600 and is perfect for an individual with a solid background in energy grid projects and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.
About the Role
In this strategic position, you will oversee the commissioning of transformer systems integral to Scotland’s renewable energy projects. Your role will ensure these systems are optimized for performance and reliability, meeting all project and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Project Execution : Lead the commissioning phase of transformer installations, ensuring technical specifications and project timelines are met.
Operational Testing : Conduct thorough testing and validation of transformer systems to guarantee operational integrity and compliance with all standards.
Leadership and Supervision : Manage a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project goals efficiently.
Compliance and Safety : Uphold stringent health and safety standards, ensuring all commissioning activities comply with national and international regulations.
Stakeholder Communication : Effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to maintain transparency and address any challenges promptly.
Qualifications
Experience : Minimum of 3 years’ experience in energy grid or network projects, with a strong focus on transformer systems.
Education : Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
Certifications : Possess all relevant Health & Safety (H&S) certifications required for high-voltage electrical work.
Skills : Exceptional project management, technical problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
