This role is ideal for a dedicated and autonomous clinician looking to make a real impact on community healthcare by delivering high-quality care both in clinical settings and through home visits.

About the Role :

As a Paramedic Practitioner, the successful candidate will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, providing urgent and routine care to patients in the local community. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing a variety of conditions, both acute and chronic, while working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. A key aspect of the role includes home visits, ensuring that patients who are unable to attend the practice receive timely and effective care in their own environment.

  • Managing acute and long-term conditions, offering treatment, advice, and follow-up care.
  • Taking autonomous clinical responsibility for patients, including making referrals and escalating cases where necessary.
  • Providing advanced clinical assessment and treatment, including the ability to work within a prescribing framework if qualified.
  • Supporting patients with self-care and long-term condition management, promoting health and well-being.
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals to provide integrated patient care.
  • Keeping up to date with clinical guidelines, best practices, and advancements in urgent and primary care.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • HCPC-registered Paramedic with relevant experience in urgent care, primary care, or community settings.
  • Hold or be working towards a relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g., MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, Paramedic Practitioner, or equivalent).
  • Independent Prescribing qualification (desirable but not essential, with training support available).
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills with the ability to work autonomously.
  • A passion for delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced and evolving healthcare environment.
  • Full UK driving license to facilitate home visits.
  • What's on Offer?

  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
  • Flexible working options, including full-time or part-time positions.
  • Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities.
  • A supportive, friendly, and collaborative working environment.
  • NHS Pension and other benefits in line with NHS and independent practice contracts.
