A client within the Public Sector based in East Midlands is currently recruiting for a Fire Safety Advisor to join their Building Safety team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a building safety and compliance environment. The RoleKey purpose of the role is to support the Building Safety Manager in delivering competent fire safety advice and ensuring the development, implementation and maintenance of fire safety strategy, policy, and procedures across relevant buildings. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to : Support the Building Safety Manager and internal Fire Safety Forum with competent advice and attend relevant meetings.Lead on the implementation of fire safety strategies, procedures, and training.Manage fire safety improvement projects and ensure accessibility of safety / action information.Provide clear, engaging fire safety advice to residents and attend consultation meetings.Ensure identification of residents requiring Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) and liaise with Fire and Rescue Services. The CandidateTo be considered for this role you will require : A recognised fire safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management or equivalent).Competency under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.The below skills would be beneficial for the role : Experience managing fire safety across residential or public sector buildings.Strong understanding of Building Safety Act requirements and engagement with residents.Ability to lead training and embed fire safety culture within an organisation. The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £245 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £210 per hour PAYE).
