The Role :

We are currently looking for an individual to join the night shift cleaning team as a Train Cleaner based at Allerton Depot. As a Train Cleaner you will be carrying out all aspects of interior and exterior cleaning, which includes duties such as :

• Hoovering / dusting / sweeping
• Mopping
• Sanitizing touch points
• Cleaning / restocking toilets
• Cleaning graffiti
• Changing bins
• Picking up litter

You will typically be working within a team of four Train Cleaners, plus one Team Leader carrying out heavy and deep cleans on the Northern Rail fleet. This is a very fast paced and intensive role, with on average 20 trains and 55 coaches being cleaned per night, so our client needs someone who can step and be a real team player. Attention to detail is also needed for this role, as you will be cleaning everything inside and outside of public view.

You will be working on a 4 on 4 off / 5 on 3 off shift pattern, with working hours being 20 : 15 – 05 : 15am.

Pay Rate & Benefits :

The pay rate for the train cleaner position will be at £13.05 per hour on an initial 6-month basis.
