This Product Engineer opportunity is based in Luton, Bedfordshire, with a long-established and growing electrical manufacturer and distributor known for innovation and high-quality products.This role sits within the Technical department and offers a chance to work closely with manufacturing partners, drive product development, and ensure compliance with UK and European standards. It’s a fantastic opening for someone from an electrical or electronics engineering background looking to make a real impact.Role Highlights :

• Develop and assess new electrical products alongside global manufacturing partners
• Lead product testing and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards (EMC, REACH, RoHS, etc.)
• Create technical documentation : product specs, data sheets, packaging, and instruction leaflets
• Liaise with quality teams and help drive continuous product improvement
• Maintain accurate support files and manage technical input across departmentsWhat We're Looking For :
• Engineering qualification (electrical / electronics focus)
• Strong understanding of product development and manufacturing processes
• Ability to identify product features / benefits and contribute to technical problem-solving
• Ideally, experience with British / European Standards and offshore factory collaboration
