The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of outstanding, person-centered care to adults with mental learning disabilities within their own homes. This role is instrumental in ensuring compliance, maintaining high-quality service standards, and driving business development to expand the service.Key Responsibilities : : You will be responsible for deputising for the Support Manager in their absence. You will be required to manage the staff in providing high-quality support to the people we support, ensuring all compliance with regulations and legislation requirements : Manage a Support Team : Lead, guide, and develop a team of Support Workers, ensuring they achieve business objectives through recruitment, induction, coaching, supervision, and rota management.Day-to-Day Service Management : Oversee the service delivery to ensure it meets required standards, ensuring that all customers receive effective and appropriate support. In some instances, you may need to cover support shifts as part of the team you manageCustomer Support Plans : Monitor and review individual support plans for all customers to ensure they are up-to-date and aligned with quality assurance standards.Collaboration with External Agencies : Work with external agencies such as commissioners, social workers, health professionals, and housing professionals to implement and review service delivery and support planning.Health & Safety : Support the implementation, monitoring, and review of health and safety practices, including risk assessments, to ensure compliance with policies and statutory requirements.What We're Looking For : Previous experience in team leadership and as a support worker within the health and social care sectorStrong understanding of person-centered care for adults with learning disabilitiesStrong IT literacy, including adequate IT skillsAbility to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and meet deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsCommitment to ongoing training and professional developmentMinimum of 2 years of experience in adult care, supporting individuals with mental health conditions or learning disabilitiesAlthough not essential, a driving licence and access to own vehicle are desirable for this role.For more information about the role please contact, Laura Turner on Email : (url removed) or Diane Benden on (url removed) between Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm About the organisation : Advance is a national, not-for-profit provider of housing and support services for people with disabilities and mental health conditions.
