Glasgow / Edinburgh - Hybrid working will apply for the foreseeable future
The purpose of Healthcare Improvement Scotland is to enable the people of Scotland to experience the best quality health and social care. We provide quality assurance that gives people confidence in services and supports providers to improve.
Our quality assurance of health and social care services is delivered with a range of partner agencies. We are looking for an inspector to join our multiagency inspection portfolio. The successful candidate will contribute to the leadership, management and delivery of joint inspections focusing primarily on services for adults.
You will be a health professional with current registration and significant senior experience in a relevant area of health and social care provision. A good understanding of the principles and drivers for health and social care integration in Scotland and experience of working in an integrated setting are key. A strong awareness of public protection in a health context is desirable.
Also essential to the role is the ability to consider complex information to draw evidence-based conclusions, the confidence to interact with and present joint inspection findings to senior personnel in partnerships and to coherently reflect joint inspection findings in published reports. Experience of quality assurance or audit type work would also be an advantage.
This is an exciting opportunity to operate at a national level, develop skills related to inspection and quality assurance and expand your knowledge of the operations of Healthcare Improvement Scotland and our inspection partner agencies.
You can read more about the role of an inspector and our multiagency inspection work in the attached job description and in these sections of our website
