What will this role achieve

Wrapping Machine Minders are accountable for product and process delivery. They will work closely with the ATM / Supervisor regarding any issues that they come across to achieve the production plan that ensure customer supply. You will be carrying out tasks that require a handson approach and operating machinery. The role will require flexibility and good communication skills. All training will be given.

The role requires a proactive individual with a can do attitude who is committed to maintaining high standards in production whilst working as part of a dynamic team. Will be required to move lines across the factory as and when required

What will be your key deliverables

Carry out all prestart checks

Ensure product is made to the correct quality and specification for start of shift and throughout

Understand equipment and machinery set up

Ensure changeovers are completed to procedure Ensure any rework procedures are followed

Ensure product is to correct quality and specification make adjusts to machinery settings to maintain product consistency

Ensure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standard

Always maintain everyday factory standards safely

Shift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agenda

Train peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when required

Undertake basic problem diagnosis and maintenance

Ensure team understand the planning of their daily tasks

Communicate directly with relevant person to resolve any issues

Bring your experience

Essential

Basic numerical and literacy knowledge

Manual dexterity

Basic communication skills

Basic problem recognition

Excellent team working skills

Be able to multitask and have the drive and tenacity to work under your own initiative

Positive attitude and willingness to drive change within operational environment

Desirable

Previous experience is desirable but not essential training will be given.

Knowledge of manufacturing environment and of HACCP and safe systems of work

Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets waste levels and line performance)

What does the recruitment process consist of
