About the role

To be responsible for maintaining and developing the Ceredigion library service in Cardigan Branch Library.

About the candidate

Whilst previous experience is useful it is not essential. Applications from candidates with little or no experience are welcomed. We will ensure you have all the training and support you need to confidently undertake the role.

The successful candidate will have a good general education and an interest in books. Knowledge and experience of using technology will be an advantage. Additional hours a possibility as service demands.

We welcome applications from non-Welsh speakers but they would be expected to meet the Welsh standard within 2 years.

Customer Contact & ICT

Our service has a range of responsibilities from providing advice and support to the residents of Ceredigion to providing corporate support via our ICT, reception and mailroom teams. Our service is responsible for the following functions :

Civil Registration : Birth, deaths and marriages.

Corporate Customer Services : Blue badge; Contact centre; Mailroom and scanning; Receptions.

ICT and Information Management : Archives and modern records; ICT support; Infrastructure and security; Project and application support; Reprographics, Technical support, Software development.

Cardigan Cardigan is the historic gateway into Ceredigion from the south west.
