Involve Recruitment are looking to appoint an Electrical Surveyor / Design Engineer to design and survey solar projects to meet the criteria of our clients funding partner. The ideal candidate will design, survey, evaluate, and optimise solar system designs to ensure that they meet the required yield and specifications of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) provision while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. This role will require the successful candidate to split their time between conducting surveys on various sites and providing designs from our office in Cardiff.Key Responsibilities :

• Design and develop electrical systems for Solar PV installations, including single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring schematics, and equipment layouts.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure that the design and cable runs are compatible with the outlined design and recommend necessary changes to maintain compliance.
• Calculate electrical loads, wiring sizing, voltage drops, and inverter selection to ensure an optimised design solution.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical analysis for solar projects.
• Ensure all designs comply with electrical industry standards and health and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and installation teams to ensure system performance.
