About the role
We have some fantastic opportunities for Accountants to join us at our Business Service Centre in Caerphilly, in roles that offer study support for a professional qualification and outstanding opportunities for development in a FTSE 100 business! As a valued member of our UK Finance team, you will be working closely with several UK sites to deliver a world class accounting service.
Within the role, you will be performing general accounting and reporting activities, including creating monthly reports, processing standard and non-standard journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts and factory accounts, analysing and resolving non reconcilable items, and identifying areas of improvement to the process.
The role will require regular interaction with other members of the BSC, including the Purchase to Pay and Credit & Collection teams. You will also be asked to support other accountants within the team from time to time, to ensure that as a collective, we are achieving the agreed service level agreements that were set with each part of the business.
About you
- Knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system
- Experience of management / financial accounting and reporting
- Experience preparing monthly reports and analysis
- Meticulous attention to detail, producing high quality work, whilst working to tight deadlines
- Able to work independently, communicate well and adapt your approach to various problems
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
