PMLD Teaching Assistant – Malton
Location : Malton, North Yorkshire
Salary : £90 £100 per day (depending on experience)
Job Type : Full-time, Term-time only

Teaching Personnel is seeking a patient, compassionate and enthusiastic PMLD Teaching Assistant to support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties at a specialist school in Malton. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is committed to helping young people with complex needs reach their full potential.
About the Role :
As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for pupils with a range of complex needs. The role will involve personal care, communication support, and contributing to pupils' social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities :
Supporting pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis
Assisting with personal care, feeding and mobility needs
Helping deliver individual education and care plans
Engaging pupils through sensory activities and therapeutic interventions
Promoting positive behaviour and independence
Requirements :
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, ideally PMLD
A calm, empathetic and reliable approach
Willingness to assist with personal care tasks
A DBS registered with the update service or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel
Additional training such as Manual Handling or Team Teach is beneficial, though not essential
