Do you have a genuine passion for nurturing the youngest learners and proven experience managing a large nursery in an office-based role? WMC Training is seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager to join a vibrant nursery in Horsham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the early development of babies within a stimulating and safe setting. Your expertise in early years education will enable you to create captivating learning experiences that nurture their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience working with babies (0-18 months) and a palpable enthusiasm for supporting their unique developmental journey .
- Holding a Level 3 or higher qualification in childcare is a must.
- You will be a collaborative team member, equally capable of taking initiative, and adept at planning enriching activities. As a dedicated key person, you will also have the rewarding responsibility of monitoring and supporting your own group of children.
DUTIESYour duties as the Nursery Manager include : Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to by all staffPromote a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation StageEnsure appropriate planning and assessment is in place and is accurately maintained by all staffSupport the development of good practice in relation to special educational needs and inclusionProvide leadership and support to all staff to enable them to establish and maintain professional positive working relationships with both colleagues, parents and carersDeploy staff effectively to ensure the required standards are maintainedEnsure the effective implementation of the companys keyperson system throughout the nurseryEnsure that all children are kept safe and that staff are confident to follow safeguarding proceduresImplement and support others in delivering the EYFS in line with current practice and guidelinesSupport the implementation of a child centred curriculumDevelop and maintain professional working relationships with relevant outside agenciesCreate and maintain a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice throughout the nurseryIdentify, address and support individual training needs and self-development such as supervisions and appraisalsManage staff and running costsFacilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendationsBe responsible for all administrative duties associated with the nursery, including maintaining childrens records, ordering equipment and keeping personnel filesCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSMust have held a Nursery Management or similar senior position beforeMinimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualificationDesignated Safeguarding LeadSafer Recruitment trainingPaediatric First AidFood and Hygiene Level 2Ability to write reports and keep clear and accurate recordsAbility to write clear objective observationsExcellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation StageExcellent knowledge of the current Early Years Inspection Framework and Welfare RequirementsJob Types : Full-time, PermanentPay : £36,000.00-£38,000.00 per yearBenefits : Private medical insuranceUnlimited paid holidaysSchedule : Day shiftMonday to FridayWork Location : In person
