Internal Sales Engineer / EstimatorMy client is recruiting for a dynamic and technically proficient Internal Sales Engineer / Estimator to join our team. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will play a crucial role in managing air ventilation product sales, acting as a key point of contact for both customers and colleagues.As a valued member of our Sales team, you will cultivate strong customer relationships, support new client acquisition, and provide expert guidance on technical sales inquiries. You will be responsible for generating accurate and competitive quotations, sourcing solutions tailored to client requirements, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our sales processes.To excel in this role, you must have previous experience in a similar position and possess an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office. A professional demeanour, strong communication skills, and an ability to multitask effectively are essential.Benefits : Work-life balance : Monday–Thursday (8 : 00 am – 4 : 30 pm), Friday (8 : 00 am – 12 : 00 pm).Annual leave : 20 days, increasing with continuous service.Pension : 5% employer contribution after enrolment.Life assurance : 3x gross annual salary after probation.Bonus scheme : Discretionary annual bonus (3% of total company profit shared equally among employees).Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and interpret customer requirements, ensuring their needs are met with precision and efficiency.
- Recommend the most suitable products or services based on technical specifications, quality, price, and delivery schedules.
- Provide technical expertise and product education to both new and existing customers.
- Foster strong, long-term customer relationships by understanding and addressing their specific requirements.
- Prepare accurate sales quotations, tenders, proposals, and technical documentation, utilizing technical drawings and liaising with engineers and project managers.
- Follow up on quotations proactively to secure profitable orders through effective communication via phone and email.
- Deliver exceptional after-sales support to enhance customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and develop custom-made solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Contribute to an outstanding customer experience, ensuring professionalism and efficiency in every interaction.Sales Coordination :
- Accurately log customer inquiries in our CRM system and manage them efficiently.
- Process all sales orders in Sage, ensuring all relevant manufacturing documentation is completed.
- Send customer acknowledgments along with relevant documentation within two working days.
- Monitor order progress and provide customers with timely updates on order status.
- Promptly communicate any changes in delivery schedules or order specifications to customers.Key Attributes :
