Job Title : Finance Assistant
Location : Bromsgrove
Job Type : Full-Time
Salary : £25,000 - £29,000
About the Role :
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our busy finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong interest in finance to grow their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist with day-to-day finance operations including purchase and sales ledger processing
Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
Support with credit control and chasing outstanding payments
Help prepare monthly financial reports and journals
Maintain accurate financial records and assist in audits
Process employee expenses and petty cash claims
Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed
What We’re Looking For :
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (desirable but not essential)
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good communication skills and a team-player mindset
Desirable :
AAT qualification or currently studying towards it
Experience working in a fast-paced finance environment
