Your Role

We are looking for part time weekend staff to join our busy Activities and Events department in a year-round school forinternational students. Activity Leaders support the Activities and Events Manager in organising and delivering a widerange of activities, excursions and events for our student body.

This is a part time position working around 12 hours overthe weekends. It has an ASAP start date, running indefinitely and with a potential for full time / permanent employment.

Responsibilities

  • Leads groups of international students on a variety of activities and day trips
  • Creates a lively atmosphere during excursions, delivering excellent customer service
  • Takes responsibility for health and safety of all students including completing and adhering to riskassessments and emergency situations in line with EF policy and procedures
  • Research excursion destinations, leads a guided tour at the destination and gives interestinginformation and facts to students
  • Liaises with co-leaders and the Activities and Events Manager to discuss how to improve future activities andgives a thorough handover after each activity or event to aid future planning
  • Attends and assists the Activities and Events Manager with large events
  • Ensures the EF behaviour code is followed by all students at all times and informs the managementimmediately if there are any issues or problems

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, energetic and positive with a sociable, outgoing personality
  • Confident in leading and managing groups of students
  • Highly organised and thorough, able to use initiative and work unsupervised
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure
  • Customer service minded and quality oriented
  • Awareness and appreciation of cultural differences.
  • Excellent communicator both with students, colleagues, and external clients
  • A flexible approach to work and hours of work undertaken is essential
