Job description

We are looking for a Technical Lead to join the Frontier team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fully homebased role but there will be a requirement to attend sites when needed.

You are an experienced Lead developer bridging the gap between the development teams and other stakeholders, driving technical excellence while enabling seamless communication and execution in our software development projects.

About You

  • Comfortable with frontend and backend technologies along with their infrastructure. We are looking for experience with NodejS, React, Express, Typescript, and SQL
  • Experienced with Azure serverless infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, and CICD
  • Enjoy working hands-on in the code and are focused on delivery goals
  • Enjoy collaborating with designers and product owners to innovate and devise great technical solutions to meet user needs
  • You will work with other Architects and other Tech Leads to design solutions and solve problems
  • You will implement, measure, maintain coding standards for the team
  • Familiar with Scrum / Agile and experienced in delivering longer term goals in an incremental manner
  • Enjoy supporting members of the team and have a passion for bringing the best out of people
  • Help teams to focus on project goals to reach the best delivery outcome
  • Your Role

    As a Technical Lead (Digital) your role will involve :

  • Finding effective solutions to technical problems, overall application architecture design and driving the full-stack framework forwards
  • Ensuring system components designed and developed to agreed technical standards and best practices against complex requirements
  • Owning and developing code quality and maintainability standards and measures, and ensuring the implementation within the development teams
  • Guiding and standardising the estimation process between development teams
  • Leading, and participating in, design sessions and code / peer reviews
  • Leading and performing trials, testing and quality checks to ensure applications deliver agreed business outcomes and agreed technical and security standards
  • Working with development teams to catalogue and reduce technical debt
  • Building and maintaining a knowledge base of agreed design and development artefacts in Frontier KB systems[AO3] [SG4]
  • Mentoring, motivating, and coaching developers to improve their knowledge and output
  • Working with the teams to evaluate and evolve the best technical setup to deliver agreed business outcomes in the context of the overall Frontier Architecture Roadmap
  • Optimising our software delivery by defining and measuring KPIs to identify performance improvements
