Purpose of the role
To ensure the efficient operation of the Quarry in terms of the Health Safety and Environmental aspects. To lead a team of qualified individuals with enthusiasm and to be self-motivated and organised.
Key accountabilities
- To ensure that the company Health and Safety Policy, Local Managers Rules and all Risk Assessments and Method Statements relating to work or works under your control are complied with.
- To liaise closely with work colleagues, Unit Manager, Suppliers and Contractors to ensure the smooth and efficient running and programming of the plant for the production of aggregates.
- To provide continuous supervision of quarry activities, to ensure the efficient and cost-effective utilisation of labour, plant and material resources.
- To continue you own progress by means of CPD (Continuous Professional Development) and by attending training courses and seminars as determined by Heidelberg materials .
