Rate of pay : UEFA C (FA Level 2) Football Qualified Coach : £12.50 per hour FA Level 1 Football Qualified Coach : £11.44 per hour
Hours of Work : You will be requested to work when projects involving football coaching are running. The role may include evening and weekend unsociable hours.
Location : Blackburn Rovers Football Club, Ewood Park, Blackburn, BB2 4JF, but may require some travel on occasions.
Responsible To : Project Leads (across all areas)
Contractual Status : Casual worker – as and when required
Closing Date 5 : 00pm on Monday 26th August 2024 (the vacancy may close early if enough applications are received, so early application is advised)
Overall purpose of the Job : The role will predominantly be based at Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre (BRIC), Ewood Park, but would require travel to engage within the local community of Blackburn with Darwen.
The post holder will support comprehensive, fun and engaging football sessions across a variety of different age groups (predominantly under 18’s), for the following programmes, but not limited to :
Saturday Development Centres
School Holiday Football Camps
Matchday Coaching Experiences
Birthday Party Football Coaching
Girls Development Centres
Community Football Tournaments
The role requires an individual with experience working in a community sport setting and a good knowledge of the type of young people likely to attend sessions. Collating and monitoring attendance data. To assist, when required, with pitch maintenance and help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and safety within the sporting facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities :
To plan and deliver football coaching in a variety of community settings.
To ensure all participants feel welcome and included within the sessions.
To help embed a positive culture across all delivery.
To attend relevant meetings with BRCT management staff to improve quality of services.
Support the management of all sports facilities and equipment usage across the delivery programme.
Market the football club within the community.
To monitor and evaluate your own delivery and support / monitor other casual staff to ensure they do the same.
Support with the delivery of our female football development programme.
To provide high standards of safeguarding and a safe and enjoyable leaning environment.
To always, represent Blackburn Rovers FC and BRCT in a professional manner regarding dress, presentation, personal hygiene, attitude, conduct and professionalism.
To be able to work flexible and unsociable hours where the role of the job requires including evenings and weekends.
Knowledge & Experience :
Essential :
Must have relevant experience of working with children / young adults (5-16)
An in-depth knowledge of coaching at beginner / grassroot level.
Understanding of local geographical demographics, interfaith relations and the barriers and / or challenges minority groups face in our society.
Knowledge and understanding of Working Together to Safeguard Children & Young People.
Ability to work in accordance with national, local and organisational Child Protection and Safeguarding policies and procedures.
Ability to identify and appropriately respond to cases of potential or actual child abuse.
Desirable :
Promoting the brand of a professional football club to the local community.
Good IT knowledge.

Working within a professional football club environment.
Experience of recruiting and working with volunteers. Practical experience of managing information operating systems including monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance frameworks.
Qualifications Required :
Essential :
A UEFA C (FA Level 2) coaching qualification.
A FA Level 1 coaching qualification.
Desirable :
Any other related qualifications.
Acceptance to complete mandatory training, there may be conditions attached to these training courses.
