Academics is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker / Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive school in Crawley. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with students who need additional support in their education and personal development.Role Overview : As a Support Worker / TA, you will provide 1 : 1 or small group support to students with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. Your role will involve assisting in the classroom, supporting students' emotional and social well-being, and helping them gain confidence and independence.Key Responsibilities : Provide tailored 1 : 1 or small group support, helping students engage with learning.Assist with classroom activities, adapting materials to meet individual needs.Encourage students to develop communication, social, and life skills.Implement positive behaviour strategies to create a structured and nurturing environment.Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure the best possible support for students.Support students with personal care if required (training provided).What We're Looking For : Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (preferred but not essential).A patient, caring, and resilient approach.Strong communication and teamwork skills.A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (the school is not easily accessible by public transport).Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
