Astute's Power Team is partnered with a market-leading Energy company, to recruit for a Project Manager, ideally with strong mechanical process knowledge, to oversee a major heat off-take project at their Energy from Waste Power Station in Croydon, South London. The vital Project Manager comes with a competitive basic salary + bonus + benefits. The role will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis until the end of Q1, 2027. If you're an experienced Project Manager, with strong mechanical process experience, and are looking to work on a significant heat off-take project, then upload your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for : Contributing towards the selection of contract execution strategy and make recommendations for most effective delivery strategyCoordinate production of basis of design and optioneering exercises to ensure clear definition of project scope of wordsOversee the successful delivery of all aspects of the design, procurement and execution of the projectEnsure the project if delivered in accordance with all technical, HSE, legislative and budget requirementsCoordinate interfaces with operations and the Energy Services Company (ESCo) to ensure smooth integration of the ERF's heat recovery equipment and the ERFs heat pipe to ensure both heat off-take and supply are provided in accordance with the agreementDevelop, maintain and coordinate the project execution programmesGenerate and secure CAPEX cost application requests and maintaining approved budgets undertaking regular variance analyses and forecastingCoordinate with all project stakeholders and lead regular meetings with effective agendasManager the contractual relationship with client's consultants and ensure the consultant is performing in accordance with the agreementProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following : Ideally degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline such as Mechanical or Chemical EngineeringA formal Health and Safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH will be advantageousPersonal skills, prior experience and knowledgeThe Project Manager role would suit someone who has : Prior full project lifecycle experience on similar projects (CHP, Energy from Waste, Biomass, District Heating, etc) from design phase through to executionExcellent contract management experienceAbility to communicate with both internal and external stakeholdersPossessing a good mechanical process engineering background (understanding steam turbines, heat off-take pipes, etc)Salary and benefits of the Project ManagerA highly competitive basic salaryBonusPrivate medicalPlease note - this will be a fixed-term contract until end of Q1, 2027Astute Technical is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
