Job Title : Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work within a SEND school in Yorkshire.

This school provides education and care for pupils aged 3 to 16 years who have a range of specific learning difficulties, therefore knowledge of EHCP's is vital.

The school operates across two sites - a primary site and a secondary site - both offering a warm and inclusive community of staff and students. Pupils receive a high-quality education that equips them with the skills, knowledge, and aspirations they need to lead fulfilling lives as adults.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8 : 30 until 16 : 30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will :

• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update system or a willingness to obtain one
• Have relevant experience - with SEND or vulnerable individuals
• Establish a supportive and consistent relationship, promoting a positive learning experience
• Develop a knowledge and understanding of the academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of the child and respond to these effectively
• Be flexible and resilient
• Possess good classroom skills
