About the role :

To put it simply this is a highly targeted, sales-focused position, and like all sales roles, it is hard work and will at times be challenging. However, if you can keep motivated and focused, it can also be one of the most highly rewarded roles across the whole of Homebase.

Day to day, your main goal will be to offer our customers exceptional service by selling them a brand-new, kitchen, bathroom or bedroom from one of our fantastic ranges.

To do this, you will need to call customers to follow up on leads, arrange appointments, produce quotes, carry out home visits, and use your creativity and expert selling skills to ensure they leave with the best possible room solution for their homes.

Of course, you will have the support of your store manager, divisional sales manager, and our L&D teams, who will be on hand to offer training and guidance : but ultimately the responsibility for how well your desk performs falls on you.

What we are looking for in our Sales Consultant :

• Sales Experts : We are looking for a proven “closer” who can build strong relationships with our customers and sell them the best possible products.
• Confidence : You will spend a lot of time following up leads, and booking appointments, so you cannot be afraid to pick up the phone and speak to people you have never spoken to before.
• Creativity : You will use your flair for interior design, to create spectacular designs using CAD, that our customers will love!
• Self-Motivated : It’s the old cliché “You get out what you put into it”, but it really is true.
