About the Opportunity
Jacobs are recruiting for experienced Practitioner Planning Engineers to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK.
This is a key role within our project and engineering portfolio which is spread across our UK network at all UK sites and stations. You will be supported and mentored by experienced quality engineering management professionals within Jacobs and given the training and opportunities you need to develop and expand your management and leadership skills with larger and more complex projects.
You will be part of a large client-led team at EDFs Gloucester Business Park location and will be accountable to the client Project Manager, Programme Manager and / or Construction Manager.
- The position is accountable to the client Project Controls Group Head, PPM and / or Operations Manager and are responsible to develop & manage schedules to incorporate risk, change, resource requirements and cost in accordance with EDF Generation Company requirements and standards.
- The Planning Engineer will create plans for the full project lifecycle including development and design in the Nuclear Defueling team, supporting delivery of the client’s ALR2 commitments.
- The role will be based at the EDF Gloucester Business Park and will require from time to time, business travel to UK sites / stations. Flexible working arrangements between office and home may be possible. In this role you will report to the Jacobs Operations Manager, but be accountable for project delivery directly to the client.
