Private Sector Housing?? London | ?? 6-Month Contract | ?? £40 per hour (Umbrella)Are you an experienced Environmental Health Officer with a passion for improving housing standards? Varnom Ross is working with a forward-thinking London borough seeking a motivated EHO to join their Private Sector Housing team on an initial 6-month contract.The RoleYou'll be responsible for carrying out a range of duties including : HHSRS inspections
of privately rented properties
HMO Licensing
inspections and compliance checks
Enforcing housing legislation and initiating formal action where necessary
Responding to service requests and complaints from tenants and landlords
Liaising with landlords, agents, and internal departments to ensure safe and habitable housing
RequirementsDegree or diploma in Environmental Health
EHORB registration or CIEH-accredited
Demonstrable experience in private sector housing, particularly HHSRS and HMO licensing
A strong working knowledge of the Housing Act 2004 and related legislation
Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload
