My client is a highly successful engineering business as a result of an internal re-organisation the have decided to appoint a senior estimator to assist on the commercial side of the business. Working with a small team you will also have responsibility for maximising business development opportunities for the group.Duties will include responding to RFQs, tenders and bids from both existing and potential new customers, ensuring that resources are properly allocated within the department. Candidates will have a background in engineering an understanding of technical matters as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should have the ability to spot and exploit potential commercial opportunities leading to the growth of the business.In return the company is offering an excellent base salary with excellent bonus potential related to new business growth along with a company vehicle or car allowance and other benefits. There is an opportunity to move to board level for a candidate who is motivated by seeing the development of the business.
