DCT Recruitment are looking for an experienced Paper Machine Installation Supervisor to join our team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project in Deeside on temporary contract.
Responsibilities : Supervise daily installation operations, follow project plans, and organize necessary manpower, equipment, and resources.Ensure installation activities align with project specifications, technical standards, and quality requirements.Manage subcontractor teams, providing direction to ensure smooth progress in installation processes.Maintain site organization and optimize workflow efficiency throughout the installation process.To guide regular quality inspections with Quality teams to ensure that installation work meets high-quality standards.Identify quality issues on-site, provide feedback to relevant teams, and implement corrective actions as necessary.Provide technical expertise to resolve installation-related issues quickly and effectively.Collaborate with technical teams to develop solutions for on-site challenges.Plan and track corrective actions in case of project deviations or errors.Provide regular updates to engineers and managers, detailing project advancements, encountered issues, and resolution processes.Guide Quality teams for document completion of installation activities through inspection reports and testing records for project handover preparation.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure steady workflow and project alignment.Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the installation of paper machines or similar heavy industrial equipment. Experience with Valmet paper machines is highly preferred.SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme).NVQ / SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferable.Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM.Valid equivalent CSCS Card.
